Another piece of the Michigan basketball team's 2012-13 non-conference schedule has been confirmed.

The Wolverines will play host to America East foe Binghamton on Dec. 11 at Crisler Center, as published on BU's official web site.

The Binghamton game is the sixth confirmed non-conference date for Michigan next season, not including the Preseason NIT. The Wolverines have yet to announce their full schedule.

Binghamton went 2-29 last season, and has gone 23-70 over the past three years. The Bearcats fired Saginaw native Mark Macon after the 2011-12 campaign, and will be led by first-year coach Tommy Dempsey in 2012-13.

This will be Michigan's second matchup all-time with Binghamton. The Wolverines knocked off the Bearcats 59-46 during Preseason NIT action in 2004.

The non-league tilt against Binghamton will likely be a welcome breather for Michigan, who already has non-league matchups scheduled against North Carolina State (Nov. 27), Arkansas (Dec. 8) and West Virginia (Dec. 15) -- and is also confirmed to be participating in this year's Preseason NIT, which includes Pittsburgh, Kansas State and Virginia.

The Wolverines, ranked as a preseason No. 5 in by ESPN.com, also have a non-league road game at Bradley (Dec. 1) and a home contest against Central Michigan.

The entire schedule for the Preseason NIT, including Michigan's early-round matchup, has not been released to this point.

Confirmed Michigan basketball non-conference games:
Nov. 21-23 (semis and finals) vs. Preseason NIT (opponents, times TBA)
Nov. 27 vs. North Carolina State (7:30 p.m., ESPN)
Dec. 1 at Bradley (TBA)
Dec. 8 vs. Arkansas (TBA)
Dec. 11 vs. Binghamton (TBA)
Dec. 15 vs. West Virginia (in Brooklyn) (TBA)
Dec. 29 vs. Central Michigan (TBA)

Beilein could do like Izzo, play some tough teams at the beginning of the season, lose to them all and then cry about how tough the schedule is.

Beilein could do like Izzo, and be a consistent winner and make noise in the Big Ten and NCAA tourney almost every year.

"Binghamton went 2-29 last season." Sounds more like a bye week, doesn't it? Xmo, I assume, is speaking tongue in cheek, but we do have a tough season. It's called the Big Ten. It could be very exciting, if all goes well. I'll miss ole Zach and Stu, but we have great guys this year, too, and with good player leadership, could go a long way.

Certainly is a Tuff schedule! They have to play NC State because of the Big Ten vs ACC challenge! Then they take on B-Lines old team West Virginia (Decent) But in between they take on power house Binghamton "Binghamton went 2-29 last season, and has gone 23-70 over the past three years" Michigan Basketball is exciting!
