OK, I have been a vegetarian for almost 10 years, but I am STILL a total sucker for the smell of bacon.

Come on. Fake meat products? Total hypocrisy, isn't it? Also, as Kyle points out - a little gross. I can't even stand the turkey bacon thing.

Don't start with me, Mattson.

Haha I eat SmartBacon sometimes. Only if it's on a sandwich and disguised by all the other flavors.

SmartBacon Ingredients: Water, soy protein isolate, vital wheat gluten, soybean oil, soy protein concentrate, textured wheat gluten. Sorry, but I'll take the real thing. Come on Lizzy, go flexitarian so you can indulge in the glorious joy of consuming bacon.

You should try SmartBacon — i know everyone says this but if you cook it right (especially considering how long you haven't eaten real bacon) it will do the trick. They sell it pretty much every where now.

I voted Zingerman's Roadhouse my favorite breakfast spot because of their fantastic bacon. The saem bacon comes in the breakfast BLT at the deli.

I want to know how they make their scrambled eggs so light and fluffy and delish!

When you're beating your eggs (in a bowl, not the pan), add one tablespoon of milk per egg. (I've heard some people tell me that sour cream works even better, but I haven't tried that.) Cook them on medium-low heat, stir often, and remove from the pan before they look completely done, as the residual heat will finish cooking them once they're on the plate. If they look done in the pan, they'll be like rubber by the time you eat them.

Using parchment paper is a great idea. I'll have to try that this weekend!

It's the only way to do oven bacon. But I prefer the frying pan method.

Really a breakfast spot cooking up bacon, huh? This will be the next big food craze. Cooking bacon on a sheet pan is used in a lot of places, saves time also helps keep the bacon flat. The clean up is much easier.
