Mike Hart on WDFN: Brady Hoke is 'perfect hire' to reunite fractured Michigan football program
Mike Hart, Michigan's all-time leading rusher, talked to WDFN's Matt Shepard about new Wolverines football coach Brady Hoke.
MLive.com has complete audio of the conversation, which includes these thoughts from Hart on Hoke:
"I don't think it's just his name. I think it's what he represents and who he is. I think you see what you get, and you see it throughout the interviews. He doesn't lie about stuff, he's not going to sugarcoat stuff. He's all about the tradition and he's all about winning, and he knows what it takes to coach at Michigan, be at Michigan and be a player at Michigan."

Found the equivalent of the "hide" option--it'll work, for now.

Hey, AnnArbor.com mods--and trust me, this IS on topic, i.e. re: first comment--props for the vote-up addition...now can you please add a vote-down selection to the site and another option where users who regularly get voted down are tossed from the site? Or at the very least, a "hide" option, i.e. we can block out comments by certain users. That should solve all these Michigan State, Ohio State and Notre Dame fans coming over here masquerading as Michigan fans or with comments that don't add anything. I mean, fans of other teams are fine, as long as they're respectful and constructive, as is, after all, your policy. As truebluefan said, we're getting kind of tired of being personally attacked here and nothing being done about it. And Brady Hoke has thus far demonstrated that he knows what it takes to stick around at Michigan, i.e. planning to tailor the offense around the current talent rather than come in and insist on changing everything all at once, running Denard et all off. Mike Hart made that point, as well. Not sitting and watching Michigan lose or be mediocre year after year just means we won't settle for lower standards. What's wrong with that?

I'll go with Mike Hart and Tom Brady and Charles Woodson and Dave Brandon and... just the whole long list of guys who actually know all about Michigan football. Our faith was shaken by that other guy who just left. No reason to doubt all these other fellows who have actual creds, including Denard Robinson - who I spotted on the bus I was riding yesterday. Cool: he had new-looking tan work boots... yep, he'd left his laces untied. I won't tell ya who he was with - it's newsworthy but I respect his privacy. Anyway: this list of impeccable gents all say Brady Hoke is The Man and I go with them.

@Ben Mick knows. I claim no copyright, anyone is free to use it. The only way to continue to have an intelligent discussion about Michigan football and the future of the TEAM is to ignore those who seem to be stuck in the past. LS had an interesting post recently and focused on the future. T212 has insulted anyone who wishes to think on their own and doesn't believe is his flights of fantasy. He knows RR, DB, Harvey the Rabbit, Mary, Queen of Scots, and others. Who cares? If he told me tomorrow was Tuesday, I'd have to get a second opinion. The rest has little interest in UM or college football. What do they add to the discussion? I'd enjoy what fans thought of Mike Hart's comments. Who does BH have a chance of keeping for this year's team and who might be worth a look. Add something. I know the 4 or 5 who think the last 3 games were a wonderful display of football genius. Go Blue!

@Ben, WCiMFH is an acronym for "Worst Coach in Michigan Football History". And please, will all of the RR backers stop attacking us folks who wanted him gone. It's over, he's gone, he stunk up the joint, this is a fact. Nothing can dispute that. So let's all unify as U-M fans and look forward to a much more prosperous era in our Football History (win wise, of course).

Former players and coaches get it. Current players get it. Most Michigan fans get it (the non-bitter ones). Brady Hoke is the man and the real deal... at the very least we are on the way back to being a tough and competitive team, and eventually he and his staff will lead us to be champions once again.

Okay - what is this WCiMFH? Next, why are the non-Michigan fans still posting here?

P n Lk Same old, same old stuff. This is the first post so how can you claim somebody started picking on the WCiMFH. How about somebody doing something about postings not related to the article. Hart talking about Coach Hoke and Michigan football, looking forward.

PL are you still bitter that RR is gone? Get over it. His record is why he was fired, not any factions, not us so-called 'dis loyal fans' or whatever you want to call us... move on... Hokemania is here.

If Coach Hoke has the same level of performance as Coach Rodriguez (NCAA violations, 6-18 record Big 10 record, 0-9 vs the "States"), then he will receive a great deal of criticism. The statements made here by the RichRod fans (lets be honest, that's what you are), make it sound as if RichRod is not culpable for his dismissal. He EARNED that firing. No one, and certainly no fan, caused RichRod to completely bungle his time at Michigan. That's on RichRod and RichRod alone. Seriously, did any of you actually watch what happened the last 3 years?

Good luck Brady I wish you and your family the best because if you can't accomplish a big ten championship within 3 years these fickle Mich. fans will turn on you. They do not understand what it takes nor do they understand nor will they give you the 5 years that any coach needs. The folks on this site are not loyal Mich. fans.
