Former Michigan quarterback Steven Threet is one of two candidates for Arizona State's starting quarterback job, according to ESPN.com.

Threet, a junior who has already led a vagabond college football existence, is working with the first team and competing with true sophomore Brock Osweiler. Right now, Threet is working with the first team and generating some buzz.

"There's no limit to how good he can be," linebacker Brandon Magee tells ESPN.com. "I'm anxious to see how he'll do. On and off the field, I see him as a leader, someone everybody can look up to."

Threet will end up being a shining star in the PAC TEN. This guy has tremendous talent but wasn't in position to use it!

Good luck steve Asu -hint always have 1 receiver play down field from the receiver he's throwing to. That way when he overthrows, someone will be there to take it all the way -TD

They had an interview on local (Phx) sports radio yesterday with an ASU receiver who just graduated, and he seems to think Threet will be the starter. I wish him well, and it will be interesting to see what happens.

I like this excerpt from the story:. "Both guys have some experience, but neither was anything close to lights out. Both have talent. Both have leadership skills. Both are tall.". Their other QB is 6'8"!!! Threet is the short guy- Good luck Steve

I wish you much success at ASU.... You were treated poorly at UM.

Steven Threat is a class act, a local boy and he left with pride and glory... I see him like Ryan Mallett becoming a starter, and another reason for me to watch ASU football games when UM FB is not playing. Threat - starter soon..........ASU Football - now on my tv menu

I sincerely hope Threet has great success at ASU. The situation he was in at UM set him up for failure. The twists his college career have taken are unfortunate, but I really hope that it all ends well for him.
