'Captain Comeback' Jim Harbaugh will be in unfamiliar spot - the lead - at Indy 500

Indianapolis Colts fans grew accustomed to seeing former Michigan quarterback Jim Harbaugh leading his team back from large fourth quarter deficits. Harbaugh's penchant for leading his team back from behind earned him the nickname of "Captain Comeback."

Harbaugh will be back in Indianapolis on Sunday, but he'll be in an unfamiliar spot: the lead.

Harbaugh will drive the pace car to start the 97th Annual Indianapolis 500 on Sunday. Harbaugh, now the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, said he's excited for the opportunity to lead the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing."

“As a longtime racing fan and someone who has always followed the Indianapolis 500, the honor to drive the pace car comes as a tremendous thrill,” Harbaugh said in a release.

Harbaugh spent six years of his childhood in Ann Arbor and returned after high school to quarterback the Wolverines. His best years as a pro were in Indianapolis from 1994-1997. He was NFL Comeback Player of the Year and AFC Player of the Year after leading the Colts to the AFC Championship in 1995.

Just don't know what to think about this young man, he's got quite a mouth on him. He does seem to be a good coach I'll give him that.

Can't wait to see what "transgression" he'll find to whine about this time.
