Ann Arbor Huron's David Hasegan played for little more than a quarter in the water polo team's 11-1 win over Saline High School Wednesday, but that was all he would need to make his presence felt. Of his team's four goals in the opening frame, Hasegan scored two and assisted on the others.

"Dave's our team leader this year, he's going to lead this team," said Huron coach Chris Keenan. Hasegan, a junior, is the only returning starter from last year's state championship team.

Huron (4-0) led Saline (0-3) 2-0, but Saline was able to get on the board when Brian Thompson snuck a shot past Huron goalie Spencer Skillman off an assist from Adam Pummell.

Then Huron kicked into another gear, scoring nine unanswered goals, the first two by Hasegan. (Rest of the story | Boxscore)
