Manchester beats rival Clinton in double-overtime thriller

By Pete Cunningham

Forty eight minutes under the lights just wasn't enough for Manchester and Clinton's high school football teams Friday night. It would take two overtimes before the host Flying Dutchmen would emerge victorious.

A Manchester blitz collapsed Clinton's offensive line and the defense sandwiched quarterback Hayden Craig as he attempted to answer Manchester's earlier score. Craig fumbled and the swarm of Manchester players dog-piled on the ball to end the game at 20-14.

The Manchester sidelines quickly emptied in celebration of the victory over their longtime rivals. (Story, Photo & Video | Boxscore)
