Saline comeback falls short in 3-2 soccer district loss to Dearborn

Penalty kick proficiency is an invaluable asset during the soccer postseason. With the possibility of a shootout always looming, most coaches will end every practice with penalty kick practice. Just in case.
The practice is paying off for the Dearborn High School team.
Two days after eliminating Pioneer by converting a perfect four-of-four attempts in a shootout, Dearborn was again perfect from the penalty spot in a 3-2 win over Saline. Dearborn converted on two more penalty kicks -- in regulation this time -- to eliminate Saline from the semifinals of the Division 1 district at Hollway field.
Ahmed Jawad scored all three goals for Dearborn, including penalty kicks in the 42nd and 60th minutes. The second, a game-winner with the score tied 2-2.
