Father Gabriel Richard girls cross country takes 7th at CHSL Jamboree; Milan volleyball edged by Riverview and more
The Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard High School girls cross country team gave its varsity runners a break on Wednesday, choosing instead to field its JV team against stiffer competition.
Gabriel Richard finished seventh in the seven-team meet with a score of 221 at the Catholic League Central Division Jamboree at Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter.
Winning the meet was Warren Regina with 33, followed by Dearborn Divine Child (46) and Farmington Hills Mercy (84).

"I thought they ran well; they should be proud of themselves despite the rain," said Fighting Irish coach Jim Spencer. "The rain didn't effect the runners too much -- everyone ran in the same conditions."
Pacing Gabriel Richard were Alex Kiers and Celia Forgacs, who finished 42nd (24 minutes, 16 seconds) and 43rd (24:37), respectively.
