Chelsea High School senior Truman Hadley is an honorable mention selection on the Associated Press Division 3-4 All-State high school football team released today.

Hadley (6-0, 181) was a selection at linebacker. He led a Chelsea defense that gave up 17.1 points per game with 52.5 tackles during a' 7-2 regular season. Hadley had 16.5 tackles and an interception return for a touchdown in Chelsea's two playoff games.

“He’s the best linebacker we’ve ever had,” said Chelsea coach Brad Bush.

Marine City senior running back Anthony Scarcelli (6-0, 190) is the Division 3-4 AP Player of the Year. He leads the top-ranked Cardinals into the Division 4 state football championship game against second-ranked Zeeland West at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Both teams are undefeated.
