Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels benched tight end Tony Scheffler for "attitude" reasons in a 44-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

That didn't sit well with Scheffler, a Chelsea native.

"I'm a competitor and have worked extremely hard this offseason to be able to fight for a chance to make the playoffs," Scheffler told the National Football Post. "Him taking that away doesn't sit very well with me or some of my teammates."

Meanwhile, Frank Schwab of the Colorado Springs Gazette talked with Scheffler on Tuesday, and it sounds like his days with the Broncos are finished.
