Big Ten expansion foreshadows superconferences, plus MAC's new bowl partners and Oregon's new basketball coach

Four superconferences of 16 to 20 teams split into divisions. Each plays a conference championship game. Those winners meet in the national semifinals, and the survivors advance to a lucrative BCS national championship game.

There, was that so hard?

That's what Blair Kerhoff of the Kansas City Star would like to know. The columnist proposes a similar structure that he says would not only be good for the Big Ten, but good for college football.
