AnnArbor.com announces winner of free trip to Gator Bowl to see Michigan vs. Mississippi State
Donald Shipley's first Michigan football experience was a good one.
He was in Michigan Stadium in late November 1971 when the Wolverines beat Ohio State 10-7 to finish the regular season 11-0 and earn a trip to the Rose Bowl.
The second time Shipley will see the winged helmets in person will be as the winner of AnnArbor.com's Bowl Bonanza.
His name was randomly selected early today using Random.org from the more than 2,000 people that participated in our contest for a chance to be in Jacksonville, Fla., for the Gator Bowl on Jan. 1 when Michigan takes on Mississippi State.
