Bill's Hot Dog Stand in Ypsilanti Township opened Feb. 1 to a large amount of customers awaiting its "spring opening" day.
The restaurant, located at 1292 E. Michigan Ave., closes every year at the end of October and reopens for customers in early February.
Bill's has four employees along with owner Dan Menna, and they say business is especially strong at the opening of its spring season.
Friday, the restaurant posted on its Facebook page that it was reopening and 1,763 people "liked" the announcement.
"We start really well every year," said Marlene Mullins, who has worked at Bill's Hot Dog Stand for 17 years. "It's a fun place to work."
Mullins said the location on Michigan Avenue is a big draw for customers.
Bill's specialties include Coney Island hot dogs featuring homemade chili with the option of onions, cheese and mustard along with hamburgers and homemade root beer. The restaurant also offers carhop service by taking and bringing orders to customers' cars.
