Most recently, Snyder joined a statewide campaign to aid grieving children at Ele's Place, based in Ann Arbor.

@Cookies your de facto position is that being a "Laura Bush" first lady is somehow, well, not good; because it does not fit what you think the position should be. There are different roles are all US first ladies; and after 8 years of Hillary it was the wise move to have Laura in the backseat even more than usual ... i never heard a real negative word about Laura ... strange how that works As far as judging the first lady of MI - lets be honest, you are judging Gov. Rick and not her ...

Yup, Sue is just home sharing the sacrifices of the masses. Sad couple of rich people who don't have any idea how the middle class lives and the negative impact they have had on them.

Read the article in Freep.com. She kinda reminds me of Laura Bush. First Ladies who sit around and pretty much do nothing. Now that are most of her kids are grown, I truly hope she is able to find something meaningful to do with her platform as 1st Lady. Currently at this time, I am not impressed.

@lumberg: Laura Bush was the First Lady of Texas before she was First Lady of the nation. She essential carried her presence and initiative in the former role over to the latter. Mrs. Snyder sounds like Mrs. Bush in her first incarnation in the public eye.

You just compared being the First lady of the US with being the wife of a governor... are you serious? think about how ludicrous that statement is! and I am sure she is losing sleep you are not impressed yet ... as am I!
