By Amalie Nash

Pittsfield Township police released a composite sketch today of a man wanted for shooting another man in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Tuesday.

Police say two friends were walking in the parking lot of Glencoe Hills apartments off Washtenaw Avenue at 8:45 p.m. when a stranger approached.

Police are seeking this man in a shooting at Glencoe Hills apartments.

An argument ensued, and the stranger pulled out a gun and fired it three times, striking one of the men once in the leg, police said.

The shooter fled as one man carried his friend into a nearby apartment building. The victim was treated for his injury and was released from the hospital that night.

Police are asking for the public's help to identify the shooter.

He is described as black, 25-30 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 170-180 pounds, with a mustache and beard growth. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, blue or black coat and black knit cap.

Anyone who has information is asked to call Pittsfield Township police at 734-822-4911.

@ lkmorgan: The McKinley management at Schooner Cove ended their security patrols December 10th as part of their "improvements" in light of the rise in crime there. They did also claim to be ensuring that there are no lights out throughout the community. So, with no security patrols and a promise to fix lights in the parking lot I'm sure these "improvements" will stop crime any minute now...

Seems to me mckinley needs to improve their security patrols or something. In the last couple of weeks I've read of shootings at 2 of their properties, a fire also at Glencoe, and a theft at Schonner. Usually Mckinley is pretty good at watching the properties, What's up with this????
