Michigan State Police release photos of woman who burglarized Putnam Township home
Michigan State Police troopers are asking for the public's help to identify a woman who burglarized a home in Livingston County's Putnam Township.
The owner of the home had surveillance cameras, which captured images of the crime.
Troopers say the burglary occurred at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 9. The woman entered the home through an unlocked window.
She was described as white, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, heavyset, with brown hair and glasses. She left in a maroon or dark colored Dodge Caravan.
Anyone with information on the woman or break-in is asked to call Trooper Christie at the Michigan State Police Brighton Post at (810) 227-1051, ext. 216 or the Brighton Post tip line at (866) 902-5477.

"Police originally released the photos to Livingston County media, but thus far have not been able to identify the woman, so they sent us the photos today in the hopes that perhaps one of our readers would recognize her." Note to Livingston Coounty: Your next door neighbors would have liked this info back in early August... just sayin'.

Security cameras work...good thing this homeowner purchased the extra megapixel capacity to capture this 'heavyset' women on camera. I feel like putting up a sign on our building SMILE, you're on surveillance camera. Face it, there's no escape from the all-seeing eye...should have invested in a hoodie

Nothing was stolen? Entry through an unlocked window? All of this happening almost three months ago? Katy bar the door! Never mind them bums panhandling downtown, now we got a REAL crime wave! Looking at the pictures, by the way, makes me wonder if the carnival was in town that week.

Nothing was taken? I would say there is more to this than is being reported, unless of course she hurt her back climbing in a window and that's the reason she has her hand behind her back.

The Liv.County Press has the Video from the surv.cameras. The color is better and the vehicle is more distinct. I'm surprized she has not been located yet. The video shows how the burglary takes place. They drive up, they seem like they are visiting, they knock, they go around back, they put on gloves to shed finger prints and they push open the window. Its a script to compare with any unknown visitor in your neighborhood.

what'd she take? 2 of the photos are of her leaving and it looks like the item stolen was concealable behind her back so it can't be that big (granted she is a little girthy)

Wow! I'll bet the police wish the banks and credit unions in Ann Arbor had surveillance cameras that produced images that clear... This arrest shouldn't be too long in coming.
