Thieves swipe 2 utility vehicles within 1 hour at Scio Township business

Two utility vehicles worth $3,000 each were stolen one at a time in the space of about an hour at the Tractor Supply Co. in Scio Township, Washtenaw County sheriff’s deputies said.

Thieves swiped two Trail Wagon Runabouts from Tractor Supply in Scio Township, deputies said.

Deputies responding to an alarm went to the business, 7251 Jackson Ave., at 2:10 a.m. Monday and discovered that someone had cut the cable securing outdoor products an taken a Trail Wagon Runabout utility vehicle.

About an hour later, deputies responded when the alarm went off again and discovered another Trail Wagon had been taken.

Deputies have no suspects at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s department confidential tip line at (734) 973-7711 or 1-800-SPEAK UP.

After reading some buyer reviews on this vehicle, I don't think the thieves will get very far before it breaks down.
