Unarmed robbery at Walgreens under investigation, Ypsilanti police say
Ypsilanti police are investigating an unarmed robbery Monday night at Walgreens on Washtenaw Avenue near North Hewitt Road, a police incident log said.
A man walked inside, asked for change for a dollar, then grabbed $40 from the register when it was opened, the log said.
The man was described as black, with a beard and mustache, thin build and about 40 years old. He was wearing black clothing and white tennis shoes, the log said.
Ypsilanti police Sgt. Kevin Dorsey said there's no indication the incident is related to Sunday night's robbery at a Subway on West Stadium Boulevard in Ann Arbor.
