Road closures scheduled in Downtown Ann Arbor for upcoming conventions announced

Roads in Downtown Ann Arbor will be closed three times during the first 10 days in August for the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee's opening ceremony dinner and its National Training Institute's block party and the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters' block party.

According to notices posted on the city of Ann Arbor's website, some downtown roads will be closed:

  • Aug. 1 between 6 a.m. and midnight for the NJATC's opening ceremony dinner.
  • Aug. 2 between 3:30 p.m. and midnight for the NJATC's National Training Institute block party.
  • Aug. 9 between 3:30 p.m. and midnight for the plumber and pipefitter group's block party
  • The following maps from the city show where roads will be closed:
