How to fix common spray paint disasters

Spray paint. We all love how easy it is to use. But sometimes things can go very wrong. Not to worry, here are a few ways to fix almost any spray paint disaster.
The photo above shows what happens when you hold your nozzle too close and spray too heavily.
And pictured below is the dreaded crackling. I have come to realize this comes from not waiting 24 hours between coats. Patients is a virtue, right?

Wait until your paint is dry and grab your very fine grit 'wet or dry' sandpaper. I chose the 1000 grit.

Add some dish soap to a bowl of water and get your sand paper soapy and wet and rub away your mistakes! Using a super fine grit paper is awesome. It smoothes it right down and keeps the finish. I didn't even have to re- coat all of the mistakes, just the ones where the wood was exposed.
Just remember to let dry for 24 hours between coats, or you may be doing this again to fix your crackles. I know because it happened to me!
