Fresh off her appearance on Top Chef: Las Vegas, Ann Arbor chef Eve Aronoff will be hosting two previews of her forthcoming new restaurant venture: the Cuban-themed Frita Batido.

First up: Aronoff will unveil dishes from Frita Batido in Detroit on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. at a fundraising event for internationally celebrated graffiti artist Antonio "Shades" Agee. The semi-formal cocktail party takes place at Agee's loft and will be raising money to send Agee as a delegate to the Movement Torino music festival in Torino, Italy. Tickets are $75.

Closer to home, Aronoff will preview the Frita Batido menu and collaborate once again with Shades Agee for a one-night art show and cocktail party at eve the restaurant. The event takes place on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. with a standing buffet and drinks, featuring music from DJ Raj Mahal. Tickets are $55.

Dave, as touched on by Jessica in the comments, there is no additional information available at this time about Frita Batido. The purpose of this entry was to highlight some area events featuring Eve and her food. We'll have more about the new venture as info is made available.
