Trailer for locally shot feature film "Trust" now online

By Jenn McKee

The feature film drama "Trust" — which director David Schwimmer shot primarily in the Ann Arbor area (including Dexter and Plymouth) last year — will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival this fall, but locals anxious to get a sneak peek can now check out the trailer. (Novi's Twelve Oaks Mall, the gym in Dexter High School, and the interior of a building in U-M's North Campus Research Complex can all be briefly spotted.)

(Note: video is preceded by 30-second advertisement.)

"Trust" tells the story of a family that's turned upside-down when the teenage daughter is sexually assaulted by someone she "meets" online. Clive Owen stars as the young woman's father, Catherine Keener plays her mother, and Viola Davis plays a therapist.

Lots of local films shot. Betty Anne Waters, which was shot in early 2009, is now called 'Conviction' and has a trailer on youtube as well. I believe its scheduled to come out in November.

The post has been updated with a new video. Since this one comes from an entertainment news website, here's hoping it's not going anywhere.
