"Scream 4" adds young blood to its star roster, but may have lost Lauren Graham

By Jenn McKee

The Hollywood Reporter reports that three young actors — Adam Brody, Marley Shelton and Erik Knudsen — have been added to "Scream 4"'s roster of stars.

The much-anticipated new chapter of the horror satire franchise, which re-unites director Wes Craven with screenwriter Kevin Williamson, is currently filming in the Detroit and Ann Arbor area, and University of Michigan Film Office director Lee Doyle confirmed via e-mail that she would be scouting U-M campus locations for "Scream 4" on Friday, July 2.

Despite the cast's newly announced additions, "Gilmore Girls" and "Parenthood" star Lauren Graham, who just discussed her role in "Scream 4" recently on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," is rumored to no longer be involved with the project (that was quick). The Dishrag's Zap2it blog offers this report on the possible reason for Graham's departure.

Meanwhile, BeforeTheTrailer.com has new photos of a fake news van created for the "Scream 4" shoot in Dearborn, as well as photos from Livonia's shoot, which features a vehicle labeled as Woodsboro Police near the 16th District Courthouse.
