Although local band Lightning Love made it to the finals of a national competition sponsored by Billboard.com, the ultimate winner, announced on the website today, was Boston's Gentlemen Hall.

Lightning Love represented the Midwest region as one of six finalists in the competition. As the winners, Gentlemen Hall will perform as part of Sunday's televised Billboard Music Awards.
