Kerrytown Bookfest draws crowds
By AnnArbor.com Staff
The seventh annual Kerrytown BookFest brought book lovers out to the Ann Arbor Farmers Market and surrounding areas today for a celebration of the printed word. This year's event featured a dual theme of food writing and crime writing. Above and below, festival goers browse the offerings. I was having the same thoughts--and wondered who won the edible book contest that the Sterns were the judges for...more coverage of the other topics covered at the Festival would have been welcome too.

What a shame that you didn't write an article about some of the highlights of the bookfest. I was at the panel with Ari from Zingerman's and Jane & Michael Stern of Road Food and Splendid Table fame. It was great! Jane and Michael were hillarious and so engaging. They left the audience dying for more time with them. Ari also had the audience laughing with his stories of the celery museum in Kalamazoo and green cherries among other tales. Surely this event which was billed as "the largest one-day book festival in Michigan" deserves better coverage!
