Catch Hank 3 at the Blind Pig; enjoy the peonies in the Arb

Monday continues "The Met - Live in HD: Wagner's Complete Ring Cycle" at the Quality 16 and Rave movie theaters. 6:30 p.m. "Die Walkure (The Valkyrie)" will play on Monday, and "Siegfried" on Wednesday. Deborah Voigt stars Brunnhilde, and Jay Hunter Morris plays Siegfried. $12.50. MUSIC

Hank 3 (Hank Williams III) will play at the Blind Pig on Monday. Doors open at 8 p.m. He comes from a strong line of country musicians, and he has a lot of his grandfather's twang in his voice, but Hank 3 has a distinct sound and style that alternates between country, rock, punk and metal. $20/ in advance, $25/ at the door. 18+. OUTDOORS

Take time to smell the flowers at the Nichols Arboretum Peony Festival. Starts Tuesday and runs through June 2. 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The festival this year celebrates the 90th anniversary of the famed Peony Garden, the largest collection of antique and heirloom peonies in North America. Take a self-guided tour. Free admission. The Arb is open sunrise to sunset. Located at 1610 Washington Heights, Ann Arbor. 734-647-8986.

STORYTELLING

"The Moth: Live Storytelling" continues at Circus Bar & Billiards on Tuesday. Doors open at 6 p.m., stories begin at 7:30 p.m. Moth shows are renowned for the great range of human experience they showcase. Each show starts with a theme, and the storytellers explore it, often in unexpected ways. This week's theme: Decadence. $5 at the door. Circus is at 210 S. First St., Ann Arbor. 734-332-9900.

ENTERTAINMENT

Quality 16 and Rave movie theaters will re-broadcast a live show of "This American Life." 8 p.m. The theme will be “The Invisible Made Visible.” The performance will also feature a new short film by Mike Birbiglia, live music by OK Go, original animation and illustration and special surprise guests. $19.
