The search for Michigan's best burger comes to Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor on Wednesday

Will Gonzo attempt at Blimpy Burger "Quint 5" on Wednesday? It's 10 patties, or a full pound of ground beef.

MLive statewide entertainment reporter John Gonzalez has hit the road in search of Michigan's Best Burger, and his quest will bring him to Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti Wednesday afternoon.
Gonzo, his burger expert traveling companion and a few burger lovers from the AnnArbor.com staff will be sampling the best burgers in the area as chosen by our readers.
We'll start off at Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger — after I've given Gonzo a crash course in the proper ordering etiquette, of course. From there we'll drive to Ypsilanti to taste the award-winning burgers at Sidetrack Bar & Grill. We'll cap off our Washtenaw County burger tour with a burger or two from Wurst Bar, our third-place winner.
Stop by the restaurants to meet Gonzo and the crew, or check back with AnnArbor.com throughout the afternoon as we liveblog the hamburger frenzy in progress.
Here's the schedule:
11:30-12:30 p.m. -- Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger
1-2 p.m. -- Sidetrack Bar & Grill, Ypsilanti
2:15-3:15 p.m. -- The Wurst Bar, Ypsilanti

Tally's in Lewiston has a very tasty burger....and the restaurant used to be a brothel back in the olden days

Sorry - not Tally's. They do have a good burger, but the brothel place is actually "Ma" Deeters who has an average burger.

I've been a vegetarian for years, but I can vouch for Clyde's burgers from my teenage years. Love that place!

If anyone has a suggestions for Gonzo as to what he should order at any of the restaurants during his visit tomorrow let us know!

my feeling at sidetrack is that you've got to go with the classic - handcrafted with whatever toppings he enjoys. I keep it simple with a medium rare patty with cheese, lettuce, onion, and lots of pickles seems unfair to load it up

Quint 5? It was called the "Dec" 20 years ago...who decided to change the name?

Billy - I am not sure. It's how it was described to me when I was in the restaurant.
