More than three dozen local restaurants and food vendors will take to Main Street on Sunday for the annual Taste of Ann Arbor.

The event usually draws a big crowd to sample the goods from some of the area's top dining attractions.

Several blocks of Main Street will be closed south of Huron for the event. Admission is free; food sales are done through tickets, sold at the event for 50 cents each. Food items and beverages cost X number of tickets, depending on the item, which may be appetizer sized or more substantial.

The event runs 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, and as of this writing, the weather forecast is perfect: partly sunny with highs near 80. Some veterans like to go early, as some vendors can sell out of popular items.

Food isn't the only attraction, though: There's a stage with free entertainment (see box). And the Ann Arbor District Library will be doing sign-up for its Summer Reading Program, offering old-fashioned outdoor fun with crafts, hula hoops, sidewalk art and more. Also, Relax Station will be on site to provide free chair massage.

According to the announcement on the Main Street Area Association website, participating vendors include:
