A family from Whitmore Lake competes today on the syndicated game show "Family Feud."

The show airs at noon on WWJ-TV, channel 62 in Detroit. Possible prize money of $150,000 and a new car are at stake on the show, which is now hosted by John O'Hurley (best known as J. Peterman from "Seinfeld").

The Freedman family of Los Angeles will be the opponents for Whitmore Lake's Brinser family on today's episode. A press release from the show lists the Brinser competitors: "Brandy, a designer and newlywed; husband Bill, an engineer and world traveler; sister-in-law Lisa, an industrial developer who recently went on a photo safari in South Africa; brother-in-law Dan, a financial consultant who sailed from England to Turkey; and mother-in-law Judy, a party planner and avid scrapbooker." “The Feud has been my favorite game show since I was a little girl,” said Lisa in the press release. “I even asked for the DVD version of The Feud for Christmas and made everyone play it right away! Our family loves traveling together, so if we win we’re thinking about a trip to Australia or New Zealand.” “The Brinser family has seen so many things around the world,” said host John O’Hurley. “Let’s see if their worldly knowledge will help them on the survey questions.” This season, the longtime game show has increased prize money and added a twist — a family that wins for five days in a row wins a new car.
