Cheva, a Huron High School grad, will discuss her career, her hit television show, and her book. “Money” focuses on a high school senior “good girl,” Maya, who makes straight A’s while working long hours at her family’s restaurant. When she learns that the restaurant will be lost if the family can’t raise a lot of money, fast, Maya starts doing students’ homework for cash.
Cheva previously authored the novel “Duplikate,” as well as “It Takes a Village Idiot, and I Married One” with Alex Borstein. Cheva majored in psychology at Yale University and also earned a degree from New York University’s law school.
