Kellie Woodhouse has reported on higher education for AnnArbor.com since August 2011. Formerly a reporter for the Baltimore Sun Media Group, Kellie has covered government, crime and business news. She has won first place investigative, public service and land use reporting awards, along with second place feature writing and government reporting awards, from the Maryland, Delaware, D.C., Press Association. She has also been awarded honors for feature writing, in-depth reporting and environmental reporting by Suburban Newspapers of America and an AP award for continuing coverage of a news event. Kellie graduated from the University of Maryland Philip Merrill College of Journalism in 2009. She has interned for The Baltimore Sun and National Geographic and served as a staff writer for The Diamondback, where she won a Hearst Journalism Award for spot news reporting. She lives in Ann Arbor with her husband, who attends graduate school at the University of Michigan.
