One in seven students in Washtenaw County receives special education services, such as overcoming learning disabilities, speech or language impairments, or more severe physical, mental, or emotional problems. The Washtenaw Intermediate School District provides special education funds to the 10 school districts in the county through a millage which helps pay for these programs. That millage has expired and WISD is seeking a seven-year renewal on May 3. Read more »
