Wisconsin 45, Michigan 24: Your complete guide to our coverage
Melanie Maxwell | AnnArbor.com
Desperately seeking a victory against Wisconsin that would make them bowl eligible, the Michigan football team instead endured another humbling defeat.
After showing flashes of competitive fire in the first half, the Wolverines fell 45-24 in their sixth consecutive Big Ten defeat. With the loss, Michigan has only one more chance to qualify for a bowl -- against Ohio State next week.
They'll need to play better than they did against the Badgers, who had 469 total offensive yards and pushed around the Wolverines defense in the second half.
Here's a look at our coverage of the defeat, starting with Dave Birkett's game story:

But the Offense could be a whole lot better with more consistent play callin'.The plays that work they stop running during the gm. and instead of finding the guy with the hot hand and riding him to victory,it seems like they think they can make EVERY player on offense the GO TO GUY! And it doesn't happen like that every gm.Defense is just not talented enough yet(too inexperienced).Hopefully with next seasons recruits for corners/safeties,we will be somewhat better(remember, they will be young and inexperienced too).I HOPE it turns around for next season. We always got HOPE!!

LakeErie, I'm not sold on the offense, either. 10 points against PSU? 13 against Illinois' pathetic D? 17 yesterday (D scored 7)? Couldn't move the ball outside of last two drives against MSU? Hey, I know our defense is awful. Guess what? Our offense isn't much better.

Is it O.K. for a grown-Man to cry!? And is our defense really as bad as they've looked these last 3 or 4 games!? Again,I ask,Is it O.K. to cry?

FYI, the sign in the Michigan locker room now reads: "THOSE WHO STAY WILL BE LOSERS" If the braintrust at U of M don't go out and hire a good young coach with the integrity and fire of Bo then we'll all be sitting home over the holidays with no bowl game to watch. This Rodriguez character is a joke and a disgrace to the UM Football program and university and must be sent packing now before it;s too late!!!
