The U.S. Under 17 Select Team topped Germany, 4-2, on Wednesday in the Five Nations Tournament at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube.

The U.S. team is 2-0 entering a 7 p.m. game Friday against Slovakia.

"The goaltending was outstanding for both teams in tonight's game," said Bob Corkum, head coach of the U.S. Under-17 Select Team. "It was a hard-fought battle that came right down to the wire."
