Upperclassmen from U-M men's swimming and diving team suspended after violating team rules
The University of Michigan Athletic Department and head coach for swimming and diving Mike Bottom announced Friday in a news release that the upperclassmen of the men's program have been suspended following a violation of team rules.
“What is clear at this point is that the upperclassmen on the men’s swimming and diving team acted in a manner that was inconsistent with our rules, policies and expectations for a student-athlete at Michigan,” Dave Brandon, the Donald R. Shepherd Director of Athletics, said in a statement. “We have suspended them from all team activities for a period of one week’s time.”
Further information was not immediately available. U-M said in a news release that it would have no further comment and any additional disciplinary action will be handled within the team.

Obviously the suspensions are under the non-revenue earning sports rules versus the money-makers.

I too assume hazing, but what a perfectly useless post since it tells us virtually nothing. Why bother?

Tells you nothing? So without it you would KNOW that the upperclassman were suspended? You KNOW that the suspension was for a weeks time? It may not have all the information you want, but there are also LEGAL privacy concerns that the U can and will not divulge. This is INFORMATION, it is nt analysis
