Spring_Depth.jpg
Still not enough depth for Michigan football team to have a true spring game

Because of tenuous depth, especially on the offensive and defensive lines, the spring "game" that kicks off at noon at Michigan Stadium won't be much of a game. Instead, the Wolverines are expected to do drills and situational work (such as 2-minute drills, red zone reps, etc.). Points will be tallied in some fashion.

Spring_Talbott2.jpg
Terrence Talbott among five new names to watch at spring game

Who will be this year's breakout player? It's difficult to say right now, since Michigan, unlike most schools, has closed off each of its spring practices to the media. But Kyle Meinke lists five names to watch based on comments from coaches and players.

Spring_Injuries.jpg
Injury notes: Kenny Demens misses time with mild concussion, but available for spring game

Brady Hoke expects banged-up linebacker Kenny Demens to participate Saturday. The only player ruled out is defensive lineman Nathan Brink. Entrenched starters such as Taylor Lewan and Fitz Toussaint will see limited time.

Legs, arm and mouth: Denard Robinson trying to become triple threat

The Wolverines' senior quarterback has been known for his effervescent smile since he first stepped foot on campus as an 18-year-old country kid from Deerfield Beach, Fla. Four years later, the shy Robinson is trying to mold himself into a team leader. That means knowing when to wipe away that smile and kick someone in the rear.

Brady Hoke says Michigan's offensive and defensive lines are 'not very good right now'

Earlier this week, coach Brady Hoke said he's not happy with what he's seen form his lines. "On either side, it's not very good right now, I can tell you that," Hoke said. "I think the kids are working, I think they're coming in here with energy and all those things, but I think the expectation level, how physical we want to be as a football team, I would say we're not where we need to be."
