Troy Woolfolk is headed home.

The former Michigan cornerback and safety has agreed to a deal with the Dallas Cowboys, his agent, Ken Sarnoff of Gaylord Sports Management, announced via Twitter.

Woolfolk hails from Sugar Land Texas, which is located less than five hours south of Cowboys Stadium. Incidentally, Michigan's first game without Woolfolk will be played against Alabama in that same building.

He made 23 starts in 45 career games.

Joining Woolfolk as an undrafted free agent is defensive lineman Ryan Van Bergen, who agreed to join the Carolina Panthers just minutes after the conclusion of the NFL Draft.

Michigan also had three players selected in the draft. Defensive lineman Mike Martin went to the Tennessee Titans in the third round, then center David Molk was selected by the San Diego Chargers and receiver Junior Hemingway went to the Kansas City Chiefs in the seventh round.

Others who could sign free agent deals include Kevin Koger,Steve Watson, Mark Huyge, Martavious Odoms and Kelvin Grady.

Mike Shaw to Redskins
Mike Shaw, a running back who received 31 carries for 214 yards and three touchdown last season, will join the Washington Redskins.

"We are happy to announce that Mike Shaw has agreed to terms with the Washington Redskins. Congratulations Mike!!" KMG Sports Management tweeted.

Shaw, from Trotwood, Ohio, finished his Michigan career with 190 carries for 1,062 yards and 14 touchdowns.

I think Wolfolk will do well, as will the rest of the guys. One thing NFL people need to know is that these guys endured three years under RR; total misguided football. The coaching on defense was especially terrible, as Mike Martin eluded to the way GR coached...play the gaps. These guys have mental toughness and resilience because of their ups and downs at Michigan. The experiences may prove to help them get through the tough times ahead in the NFL! Thanks to the current Michigan staff, these guys ended their careers at Michigan on a positive note.

The few players taken in the NFL daft bode well for the Wolverines. Going 11-2, the team only had one player taken in the third round and two in the seventh round. The 2nd year improvement in the current starters, and guys coming up will be greater than the players we lost. An interesting note- my hometown team Boise state had two first round draft picks. Both were 2 star recruits coming out of high school. Coaching matters. Hoke and Mattison will turn their 3, 4, and 5 star guys into stars given another year.

Two basic points observer, one is that I agree that michigan state had some decent players and did well compared to Mich. in the draft but sorry, that's about to change. Two, please refresh my memory, did state end up ranked ahead of Mich. or trailing Mich. in the finale rankings ?

Yeah, but with all of MSU's superior talent, they still lost more games than UM and didn't win a BCS bowl like the Wolverines. Unfortunately for MSU, UM has superior coaches and is now also accumulating FAR superior talent. That's a tough combination to beat, an MSU will find that it will very rarely happen again moving forward...sorry...

Another pathetic troll that rather than comment on Kirk Cousins or Worthy being drafted on the Spartans board.....little brother has to come over to the Leaders and Best just for us to hear them once again stomping their feet demanding attention. That inferiority complex seems to really bother you little brother. Best of luck to you with that. And yes I would like fries with that, thanks for asking!
