Minnesota quarterback MarQueis Gray not on injury report, expected to play against Michigan
Minnesota quarterback MarQueis Gray is expected to play Saturday against No. 19 Michigan.
The mobile quarterback was not on the Gophers' injury list Thursday, despite a sore foot and toe that kept him out of practice on Wednesday.
Minnesota coach Jerry Kill said how Gray practices Thursday would determine his availability for the Big Ten opener Saturday (Noon, BTN) between the Gophers (1-3) and Wolverines (4-0). Apparently, he liked what he saw.
Gray's availability will provide a significant boost to their chances at Michigan Stadium. He accounts for 61.8 percent of Minnesota's offense and, much like Michigan's Denard Robinson, is capable of ripping off big runs.
In other injury news, Gophers starting cornerback Troy Stoudermire will sit out the game with a fractured forearm. He played with a cast last week, but Kill told reporters it affected his play.

Generally speaking, it's good to take on opponents when they are at full strength. Leaves it all on the table, and no "what if" questions.

Time to be gracious: it's good that Minnesota's QB is back in action. I will refrain from opining on just how much this improves Minnesota's "chances" this Saturday.
