Shane Morris now a five-star QB per Rivals.com, Michigan keeps five '13 commits in Top 100
Shane Morris has sat on the fringe of Rivals.com's five-star range for months now.
And Monday, the 2013 Michigan football commit finally earned his coveted fifth star.
Rivals.com unveiled its updated Top 100 for 2013, giving the 6-foot-3, 183-pound Morris a five-star ranking and lifting him from No. 22 to No. 17 overall.

Dubbed the player with the strongest arm in the 2013 class by Rivals' analyst Mike Farrell, Morris is one of just 22 players nationwide to receive five-star status from Rivals.com. Scout.com also lists Morris as a five-star, while ESPN.com labels him a four-star talent.
Morris is one of five Michigan commits in Rivals' new Top 100. But he's the only one that seems to be on the rise.
Four-star defensive tackle Henry Poggi dropped six spots to No. 58, four-star linebacker Mike McCray fell 26 spots to No. 81, four-star offensive lineman Patrick Kugler dropped 15 spots to No. 88 and four-star offensive lineman Kyle Bosch fell 15 spots to No. 92.
Four-star offensive lineman Chris Fox was not ranked in the new Top 100 after sitting at No. 57 previously. The same goes for four-star defensive back Dymonte Thomas, who fell out of the Top 100 after being ranked No. 95 in June.
