Rich Rodriguez, Michigan football players shaking off MSU loss; looking ahead to Iowa

By Kaleb Roedel

Days after the Michigan football team's 34-17 home loss to Michigan State, coach Rich Rodriguez and players -- Greg Banks, Ryan Van Bergen, Patrick Omameh and Kelvin Grady -- are focused on bouncing back and preparing for Saturday's Big Ten game with Iowa (3:36 p.m., ABC).

They didn't come out flat against MSU. They DIDN'T MEASURE UP! MSU is at best #4 in B10 in defense(i think lower). Iowa, Wisc, and OSU for sure better. MSU didn't give the offense problems, THEY OWNED THAT OFFENSE! What do you think Iowa, that had 2 weeks off now to prepare are doing to do when they can easily mimic the MSU defense and are much more fresh? GettingBluer, add another week on that, 5-3 coming up.

As unhappy as I was with Saturday's performance I'm not ready to say this team is done. I do think we will know a lot more based on how they perform against a tough Iowa team. If they come out flat and make mistakes, it will be a long season.
