Readers submit photos of University of Michigan fans around New Orleans

By Julie Baker

Thousands of University of Michigan fans traveled to New Orleans for Tuesday's Sugar Bowl vs. Virginia Tech, and we asked them to show us their photos of fans around the city.

Photos show U-M flags on Bourbon Street and some good-natured rivalry on the road to the Sugar Bowl.

If you have photos from New Orleans you want included in this gallery, email them to juliebaker@annarbor.com, and we'll add them.

A friend told me that on her flight into New Orleans yesterday, there were so many Michigan fans on the plane that they all got together and sang Hail to the Victors.

i was there but i couldn't hear or see too well......it might have had something to do with the 8 hours I sat in the bar due to flight delays.
