Gone to the Seahawks amid the specter of an NCAA investigation, former USC coach Pete Carroll told the Los Angeles Times he's still stunned by the turn of events.

Kicking off today's college links, here are the frontrunners to replace Carroll at Southern Cal, according to Bill Plaschke at the L.A. Times.
Who else were the Seahawks interested in? ESPN's Chris Mortenson reports the team reached out to Tony Dungy last month.
Recruiting fallout seems to be minimal after Carroll's departure, according to the L.A. Times.
In Seattle, they're hoping Carroll's hiring ends two years of dysfunction, says Danny O'Neal of the Seattle Times.
