Ohio State will unveil another new uniform vs. Michigan. What do you think?

Quick, close your eyes and think about the Michigan-Ohio State football rivalry. What's the first image that comes to mind?
For many, it's Michigan's iconic winged helmet butting against a gray Ohio State helmet covered in buckeye leaf stickers.
That image may be fading, thanks to the Nike-designed alternate uniforms worn by the Buckeyes in back-to-back years.
Last season, Ohio State came to Michigan Stadium wearing a 1954 replica uniform with a white helmet.
In Columbus on Saturday (noon, ABC), the Buckeyes will honor their World War II-bound 1942 national championship team with uniforms that include a replica U.S. flag on the jersey sleeve, a camouflage-print base layer and scarlet helmet.
What do you think of the uniforms? Take our poll:

georgesmith, typical uneducated Wolverine fan. You know nothing about flag etiquette obviously. The field of stars points forward in the direction the person is moving - FORWARD. This is flag etiquette straight from the US Military. OSU was honoring it's WWII era 1942 team displaying a proper flag with the field of stars pointing forward.

Uniforms need to be burned! Showing such dis-respect for the United States flag. Some one needs to study up on flag etiquite. The flag must be displayed with the stars in the upper left corner. They have id displayed backwards. And they are teaching our kids?

I think those are butt nasty... I bet the kids are freakin about having to wear those... I hate to admit it - but when they came out in those white helmets last year - even I was thinking... yeah those are sweet. But the red red needs to stay forgotten... I'd like to see what big blue could do with a throwback... but then again when you have the best helmet in the land you don't need Nike. speaking of Nike. love the gunmetal black ducks lid. Go blue - good luck. let's make it.1969 all over again... suck it bucks!

I think OSU should be wearing the tutu...like they deserve. They have worked so hard to get here to this point and then choke in the Bowl games....let them wear tutus.

Wow rightmind, I didn't realize Woody invented "modern football". Thanks for enlightening us. Why don't we just pick 1938 and the hiring of Fritz Crisler as the beginning of modern football? After all Crisler invented two-platoon football. Guess that screws up your Buckeye dominance in "modern football" as UofM leads 35-33-4. At least you acknowledge the series started before Jim Tressel - LOL!

LC, I agree with you, I think it is a slap in the face. I just wish it would put a fire under the Wolverines and make them play their hearts out this Sat. Living just north of Scumbus, I am tired of hearing about the suckeyes everyday. Win this one and shut all the bucknuts up!

As a wolverine fan, I kinda find the uni's a little insulting. Like it or not: something about that scarlet & grey uniform has a certain mojo to it. Just like the Maze and Blue Michigan wings do(or did!) One look at that grey helmet with a bunch of (Tommy Chong at a boy) stickers on it. Brings out emotions in any opposing player instantly, whether it be respect, anger, or fear it stands for something... Tradition!! This tells me they think they don't even need to throw their uniforms on the field to win this one, just the name "OSU" on the score board is enough to beat Michigan anymore. Funny, the Buckeyes are a team disguised as someone else, while someone else is disguised as Wolverines. Go Blue!!!!!!! Good Luck Boys!!!

I would think UM would be in favor of breaking from tradition, maybe try to win against OSU

Tater get a grip that was 20 years ago. You are living in the past. UM is the new Indiana. The Wolverines lead the overall series 57-43-6, including a 27-23-2 mark in Columbus. However, since Woody Hayes was hired as head coach in 1951, the Buckeyes lead the series 31-26-2 Thats the reality. The Bucks lead the series in modern football. The past 60 years. No go back to your room. I am tired of hearing your crying.

Yuk. For a guy who has incredible respect for the rivalry, the Vest sure does throw out funny uniforms for this game!! Wear these during the annual Youngstown State or Ohio University beatdowns. Or wear them when you play Oregon so you can have "ugliest uniform" day. Good thing to know that LC is responsible for every OSU loss for all time. LC probably designed these horrible unis also.

Thats the worst scarlet and gray uniform used by losers since the confederates wore the scarlet and gray during the Civil War.

Those Unis look like the Tampa Bay Bucs.... not the old Gay Pirate Bucs but the new, non descript and boring Bucs.

Shocked, that's what this Buckeye is. OSU is turning the once great OSU-MU rivalry into a fashion joke to mock U of M. Sorry to say, but the joke may be played on my silly red-uniformed Bucks this Sat.

DonAZ: Good point. Hate throw-back uniforms. Just a way for Nike to sell stuff and make $$$. Need to stick to tradition. How are the photos of the game going to look 30 years from now? Goofy! Hope this bad omen doesn't help UM!

UofM should put a big pink feather on their helmets until richrod is gone.

In many ways stuff like this makes me admire Penn State and Alabama all the more -- basic, boring uniforms. Prove themselves on the field, not on the fashion runway.
