Ohio State football players still waiting for traditional gold pants charm

By AnnArbor.com Staff

The small gold pants charms Ohio State football players receive for beating Michigan are on hold following last season's 37-7 victory against the Wolverines because of a pending NCAA investigation, the Columbus Dispatch reported today.

The charms, worth about $50 apiece, haven't been passed out because Ohio State may have to vacate some victories from the 2011 season, The Dispatch reported.

I truly hope OSU gets their gold pants kicked by the NCAA rules committee. Everytime I watch the Simpson's cartoon, I can't help but notice how a Homer type Springfield U reminds me of MSU (party town), and how its neighbor Shelbyville College resembles OSU.

Now the "boosters" are going on the cheap in C'bus. Let's see how much the Gold Panties Club can get on Pawn Stars for uncirculated trinkets. issued for a "win" when it evaporates under the scrutiny of the "big bad NCAA".

Don't sweat it buck nuts just go to ebay and you can get a pair. As long as they are less than the discount at the tat parlor you will still save money. You can get to the parlor in your free car. Life is good as a buck nut. At least till the NCAA stops the train but I am not sure they are going to.

Those gold charms may be become much more rare and valuable from here on out. Michigan is going to return to the days of dominating OSU again - starting this year.

Big Ten football changed in the decade of the 00s. In response for repeatedly getting their own silver pants de-pantsed vs. Michigan in the 90s and early 00s.... tUOS hired a dishonest man to be their head coach and began implementing the process of paying their players to join and stay a the program. This lead to tUOS 'separating' themselves from the rest of the Big Ten with 6 straight titles (some of which are now in jeopardy of being taken away) and multiple wins over Michigan in a row.... and make no mistake about it...the reason for it: tUOS was playing ineligible players who had become paid professionals and were covering it up. As these facts come out, more and more..each week... we all know that those gold pants from the 00s are all tarnished and are not worth anything to anyone other than tattoo artists and tUOS slappys who live and die with their cheating programs' exploits. So....its probably a good decision to not give them out for the 2010 game... those pants are worthless and tainted.
