New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez was seen around Ann Arbor on Wednesday, a visit that included a tour of the Michigan basketball team's Player Development Center. He also was seen around the baseball and football facilities, where he was offered some apparel by Jon Falk, the Wolverines' director of equipment operations.
The Yankees are in the midst of a four-game series in Detroit against the Tigers. It is unclear why Rodriguez was in Ann Arbor.
"Just met A Rod in the PDC after my workout," former Michigan basketball captain Zack Novak tweeted. "He's a real nice guy. I told him not to beat up on my White Sox.
"A-Rod's good point for leaders: You pick on things when ur winning and pick up spirits when ur losing. Most ppl do it backwards."
