Michigan spring football game set for April 16
By AnnArbor.com Staff
The Michigan football team's annual spring scrimmage is set for April 16 at Michigan Stadium.
Last year, an estimated 35,000 fans watched Michigan football alumni play in a flag football game and then saw sophomore quarterback Denard Robinson turn in an impressive showing that foreshadowed his breakout season with the Wolverines.
Details on the April 16 event will be announced by Michigan.

To those who expect a bad season, what happens if Michigan has a 6-6 season, I would say what happens if they turn in a 9-3 season? Its the direction were going that matters and I believe that Hoke will eventually get us there.

I think we'll see Denard take some snaps under center in a double TE set, and a FB lead our Tailback right up the gut for some critical short yardage, smashmouth one yard gains/TD's. Yes, MICHIGAN FOOTBALL will be back. And yes, that means back to WINNING and COMPETING for B10 and perhaps even a NC or two (and yes, that would make us an ELITE program...AGAIN).

It will be interesting to see how the current players adjust to the new offense and defense. I think they will be pleasantly surprised and will take to it well.

Hello, Mr. Star21! (I always wondered how the hospital allowed your mom and dad to put numbers at the end of your last name. But I think it stands for the 21 games we will win this season AS LONG AS Coach Hoke continues the tradition of Our Illustrious King). Heard there will be a flyover before the Spring game (B21's nonetheless!), and you and me and tater will be invited to sing the national anthem, then Varsity, then Roll Out the Barrel. He's Terry Star, He's not Lloyd Carr. Theo's smarter, But not by far!

Here's to Theo21 for athletic director! Had 212 been at the helm, last December, he would have convinced Miles to come in as HC, Harbaugh as the OC, and Hoke as the DC. ...and we'd be working on another expansion of the stadium to 125, 000 seats! No doubt in our minds!

@ Theo..."If Hoke has any qbs take a snap under center, let the BOOS rain down"...very well said my friend, you are by far the lead commentator on this site. Michigan Football = Extreme Excitement. We should fill the stadium at the Spring Game and have maybe 30-40 thousand people trapped on the roads, like Woodstock - not able to get in. This is a great time to be a Michigan Football Faithful ! Alas the Spring Game nears, and the faithful will begin the cheers.... For Theo's king there is only one reason, As he has assembled coaches for a championship season.....

"If Hoke has any qbs take a snap under center, let the BOOS rain down." Yes, because it is far more important that the offense have a certain LOOK to it than actually WIN football games with it. Good Night and Good Luck

You hit the nail on the head Ghost. It's the classic argement of style over substance. Fans of the Hack never got it. Wins are what matters, not what style of Offense or Defense you use. The Hack was all hat and no cattle.

I have no problem whatsoever with the team. I have serious problems with so-called Michigan fans who have man crushes with the former coach, also known as whatshisname, and who insist that the new coach has some obligation to continue with the disastrous style of ball played here for the last three years. Frankly, I think they're a bunch of MSU or OSU trolls It's the only thing that makes sense, because serious Michigan fans want to put whatshisname, his incompetence, his cheating, and his disastrous record behind us. But for some reason some folks don't. Good Night and Good Luck

@Buck, don't worry about it, we'll be better than that. However you seem worried enough to come on here and stir the pot. If M is going to be as bad as you seem to be predicting, than you wouldn't feel the need to predict 6-6, you got it made in the shade. Yet you still feel the need to come here anyway, hmm, I wonder why that is?

Oh man, I get so excited just thinking about it. I have a feeling there's going to be way more than 35,000 fans there, maybe over 50,000. How cool with that be, I wish I could be there that day. I'll have to watch it on the Big Ten Network.
