I like hearing from the players and reading stories about them. Helps us to understand what they are going through and reminds us that they are not machines but young men still maturing. Coach Speak is reserved, as it should be, and sometimes predictable. My biggest knock on Rich Rod was when he opened his mouth to the press. Lloyd didn't much like the press as he knew they can turn statements around and against you.

"My biggest knock on Rich Rod was when he opened his mouth to the press." That's your primary complaint about the prior regime?! Just kidding ... I know what you're getting at here. I've noticed that the current coaching staff -- Hoke in particular -- is reserved and predictable in what they say. There's a part of me that would like to get the inside dirt 24 x 7, but in my heart of hearts I know that wouldn't serve the team well. We're just a touch more than a week out from the Western Michigan game. We'll learn a lot more as that game unfolds than we will from the various press conferences between now and then.
