Is Michigan QB Devin Gardner switching to WR Roy Roundtree's old number? Video indicates so
Devin Gardner became a man of intrigue this spring, when it was learned the Michigan football team's backup quarterback was practicing at receiver.
Does that mean he's switching positions? At least on a part-time basis?
No one knows.
But it does appear he's at least switching numbers.

Gardner, who wore No. 7 last year, was seen wearing a No. 12 jersey in a video posted to the Wolverines' official website Saturday. The junior is shown with the quarterback group as Michigan players help with the Michigan Women's Football Academy, which drew 500 people and raised more than $128,000 for the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Gardner's locker also has switched to No. 12, according to a person who was in the locker room last week.
There was some speculation the former Inkster High School star would switch numbers after he changed his Twitter handle from @dGardner_7 to @dGardner_12 last month. He quickly changed it again, though, and now is going with @teamDGizzle.
Receiver Roy Roundtree wore No. 12 the past three years, but will sport the No. 21 next season. That jersey now is designated a "Michigan Football Legend" uniform in honor of Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard.
A Michigan spokesman said he could only confirm Roundtree's number switch.
