What I liked was the innovation of Coach when he noticed that practice had exceeded the allotted time, he had the team run their last three drills backwards. Sure was funny seeing the receiver throwing the ball to the quarterback!

I'm wondering the exact same thing as DVB. I know it's just the uniform, but I'd love to see them get back to something plain and simple, akin to the (shudder) Nike days. David, any relation to any of the Vande Buntes that went to Hope College?

Just a quick question...in some of the photos, players jerseys have three maize stripes on the sides, in others, its solid blue. Is there a reason for that? Do the stripes signify 1st/2nd/3rd string, class, or anything like that?

From what somebody I know who friends with a couple of the players, you "lose your stripes" as a "promotion" of sorts for hitting certain goals. So anybody you see with the striped jerseys haven't hit whatever goal yet, while those without them have. It's third party info, but it's the only thing I've heard about it.
